What is the Coldwell Banker Schmitt Charitable Foundation?

The Coldwell Banker Schmitt Charitable Foundation is a 501 c (3) tax-exempt, non-profit corporation. 

Since its inception in April 2002, the Foundation has raised over $500,000 to help Keys’ residents whose critical needs are not being met through other means. These funds come from the generous hearts of the Coldwell Banker Schmitt Real Estate agents, staff, and business partners to whom we are most grateful.

100% of the contributions are distributed in the Florida Keys to individuals, families, or non-profit organizations who qualify, and submit a request for funding.  No administration costs to manage the Foundation are charged against donations.

The Foundation is administered by agent and staff volunteers, who manage the day-to-day activities, provide oversight and determine which funding requests to honor.

Gifting is based on need and each funding determination is voted on monthly by the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Message from the Chairman

To all of you who have chosen to “light a candle” instead of “cursing
the darkness”, and to all of you who will, we thank you with all of our hearts.

Those of us who are passionately involved in the work of the “Charitable Foundation” are firmly dedicated to simple principles; to feed and clothe the children and support their dreams, to give comfort to those who are ill, to smile with and assist the mentally handicapped , and to give a hand to those groups who do the same work.

Giving back to those less fortunate is the fuel that drives this small group
of committed hearts.  Your “lit candle” can make our fire burn brighter so that not a single needy soul in the Florida Keys will feel the despair of loneliness or need. They will know that their friends and neighbors on these little islands have great big hearts.

If you would like to make a donation to the Coldwell Banker Schmitt Charitable Foundation, please call (305) 289-6503.

If you are associated with CBSREC, you can make contributions by: writing a check, or your contribution can be deducted from your commission checks or pay checks.
 
We can arrange a payment schedule for the convenience of all donors…
We accept anything of value – land, homes, vehicles, art, jewelry, etc.

Who can contribute?

*  Everyone is encouraged to contribute as a memorial, to celebrate a birth, or as a gift. 

Business owners, homeowners, friends and family. The more participation we have, the bigger the impact we can have on our community… and meet our ambitious goals for 2007 and beyond.
